The Seattle Chinese Garden Supports the Asian Community

The events of the past year have reinforced our commitment to our mission to build understanding and friendship among all people and to increase the understanding of Chinese culture and heritage.  The Seattle Chinese Garden is a lens through which we can better see our Chinese neighbors, the global community, and ourselves.

Bullying and attacks, whether they be verbal or physical, have no place in our world.  We stand in solidarity with the leaders and members of our Asian communities, and with our colleagues, friends, and neighbors of Asian descent. We pledge our continued efforts to increase understanding of the rich heritage of China and its culture and our support for building a society that respects all people regardless of their ethnic background or place of origin.
