Astra Lumina: An Enchanted Night Walk Amongst The Stars will be taking place in the garden starting December 8, 2023.
Astra Lumina Seattle is a one-mile-long enchanted night walk through the Seattle Chinese Garden that takes visitors on a journey to discover the wonder of visiting stars. Through the magic of projections, lighting, and music, astral energy transforms the garden into a celestial pathway, connecting visitors to the stars and the vast world around them.

We will be celebrating Peonies blossoms on the Mother's Day weekend this year. Come join our family-friendly activities and bring home with some beautiful Herbaceous Peonies. Lion Dance will be performed by Mak Fai Kung Fu at noon on May 13th. Please see the schedule below.
Join Tai Chi instructor Restita DeJesus for a free Tai Chi lesson for the 24th Annual World Tai Chi Qigong Day
You will use a brush tip pen to follow the strokes and write Chinese poems or Buddhist "Heart Sutra" at the Garden. The activity is free and it will start from 2pm to 4pm on Sundays.

Join the Seattle Chinese Garden for its 2022 Peony Festival! Peonies will be in full bloom, and live performances will be held. Tree peonies will also be available for purchase. Festivities will be taking place on May 7th and 8th, from 10am to 4pm on both days.
World Tai Chi Day has been observed around the globe since 1999. Join Tai Chi Instructor Restita deJesus for a free Tai Chi breathing exercise and practice at the SCG Courtyard on April 30th at 10am. No experience necessary, all ages welcome!
Join the Seattle Chinese Garden for our 2022 Virtual Lantern Festival! The interactive program list is active from 9am on February 12th to 9pm on February 19th. It features arts and crafts activities as well as educational videos about the holiday.
The Seattle Chinese Garden is honored to be hosting the Metropolitan Fashion Week this year. There will be two shows in total, an early evening show at 5pm and a late evening show that begins at 7pm.
We encourage participants to follow a dress code of summer chic. Ladies, flaunt those cocktail dresses, and wear your favorite hat or fascinator & parasol. Gentlemen, semi-formal jackets or sport jackets with nice jeans or dress pants is excellent.
