Seattle Chinese Garden grounds and SSCC Arboretum: open daily from dawn to dusk
Knowing the Spring Courtyard open hours:
Tuesday to and Sunday — 11:30 am to 5 pm
During the winter, the Garden will not open during adverse weather such as snow storms and icy driving conditions due to the steep and curving streets leading up the ridge. Persistent rain also will prompt closure, but probably not intermittent shows. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the gravel paths.
The Garden does not charge admission fees, but we do welcome donations. Contributions help support garden maintenance and educational and cultural programs. Thank you!
When you walk into the entry court, please stop in the Ticket Office to pick up a self-guided tour brochure and plant guide. We ask that all visitors sign in so we will have an accurate daily count.
The South Seattle Community College’s Arboretum is adjacent to the Chinese Garden and is free to the public. It is often called “the best kept secret of West Seattle.” Please click information about the arboretum and the arboretum map to learn more. Leashed dogs are allowed in the SSCC Arboretum.
