The Garden Our Link To China Get Involved Community Impact

Education

A unique cultural experience

As China increasingly influences the Pacific Northwest and the world, our understanding and respect for Chinese culture continues to grow. The Seattle Chinese Garden will serve as a bridge to China, offering critical educational opportunities to help children and adults alike learn about one of the oldest continuing civilizations on earth.

Construction is completed on the Judge Warren and Nobie Chan Education Center at the Garden. This center, in partnership with South Seattle Community College and the State of Washington, will serve students K-12, as well as the general public, offering integrated programming in Asian and Chinese culture, art, architecture, literature, culinary arts and horticulture. The Center was dedicated on January 10, 2008.
